Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 40 years old
  • Not take psychiatric medicines and not have had psychological treatment in the past year
  • No medicine or supplements that could affect certain liver enzymes (used to process drugs) or that affect anxiety/stress in the body
  • No past substance use disorder (or close family history of it)
  • No pregnancy or breastfeeding, and you must not be left-handed or have color blindness
  • No history of major brain/nerve problems (including stroke, head injury, fainting, seizures/epilepsy)
  • No major hearing problems, ear-canal skin lesions, or balance/unknown balance disorders
  • No significant lung/heart/diabetes/kidney/liver problems, or recent flu/COVID/flu-like illness
