Who can take part
- You are between 18 and under 80 years old
- Your colon or rectal cancer diagnosis was confirmed very recently (within 48 hours) by scope/endoscopy and pathology
- You have no known bleeding disorder and your blood clotting and basic blood tests are within normal ranges
- You do NOT have an allergy to aspirin (ASA) or other NSAIDs (pain medicines like ibuprofen/naproxen)
- In the last 15 days you have not taken aspirin/NSAIDs/antiplatelet medicines/corticosteroids/misoprostol, and you do not need them during the study
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are not actively smoking; also no history of drug or alcohol abuse
