Aspirin for early coronary artery disease without symptoms

Who can take part

  • You have documented coronary artery disease detected by imaging (calcium score, CT scan, or angiography) but no blockages severe enough to need stent or bypass surgery
  • You have never had a heart attack, stroke, or coronary artery procedure
  • You are not currently taking aspirin or blood-thinning medications, and your doctor hasn't recommended them
  • You have no serious bleeding in the past year and are not at high risk for bleeding
  • You have no allergy or contraindication to aspirin
  • You are willing to take study medication as instructed and attend follow-up visits
