Who can take part

  • You are an adult male who is getting a new (primary) shoulder implant for wear-and-tear or past damage
  • You have NOT had surgery on the same shoulder before
  • You are covered by the social security system and can give written consent
  • You are not taking immune-suppressing medicines (unless the study allows it)
  • You do not have skin problems where the cleaning will be done, and you are not allergic to povidone-iodine or benzoyl peroxide
