  • You have a torn rotator cuff (muscle in the shoulder).
  • You are scheduled for arthroscopic (keyhole) rotator cuff repair surgery.
  • You have not had a shoulder fracture (broken bone) before.
  • You have not had any previous shoulder surgeries.
  • You do not have a tattoo on your shoulder.
