Testing MitoQ for blood clotting activity in sickle cell

Who can take part

  • You must be African American
  • You must have sickle cell anemia (or be an African American healthy control)
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You cannot be pregnant
  • You cannot have known hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • You should not be on hemodialysis, and you should not have untreated obstructive sleep apnea that needs treatment
  • You cannot take anti-platelet medicines, and you cannot have had a blood transfusion in the last 4 weeks
