Who can take part

  • Be generally in good health (either healthy or have vestibular loss)
  • If you have vestibular loss, it must be on one side or both sides
  • You must be able to do the study tasks (especially if you have balance limits)
  • You should not have major long-term problems from nerves, eyes, ears, head/neck, or arms/legs
  • Your thinking and memory should be normal (Mini-Mental State score must be 27 or higher if tested)
  • Your vision must meet requirements (not worse than 20/20 up to age 65, or not worse than 20/40 over 65) and eye/balance tests must be within limits
