Who can take part
- Be age 18 or older
- Have HIV-1 infection (not HIV-2) and get care at Orléans Regional Hospital
- Be in one of the study groups (on long-term viral-suppression treatment, starting treatment, or not taking HIV meds under specific conditions)
- Have been able to give written consent
- Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
- Not have certain bowel or stomach problems, bleeding/clotting issues, or be on blood thinners
