Who can take part
- Be 18 years old or older
- Be admitted to the heart ICU (CVICU) after heart surgery like CABG and/or valve repair or replacement
- Have your heart surgery done through a breastbone incision (median sternotomy)
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or less
- Be willing to sign consent to join the study
- Not have had a lung transplant (now or in the past)
