Who can take part
- You are 18 to 75 years old
- You have had your spleen removed (or are confirmed as asplenic) for at least 2 weeks
- You can confirm asplenia with medical records, consultation, hospital report, or ultrasound results
- If you can become pregnant, you will use effective birth control during the first 9 months of the study
- You will sign written consent before any study procedures
- You can and will follow the study for up to 4 years after the enrollment visit
