Who can take part

  • You must be an adult (over 18 years old).
  • You must be willing to participate, including signing consent if you agree to any biological sample collection.
  • You have bone metastases (secondary bone lesions) from these cancer types: breast, lung (non-small cell), kidney, bladder, thyroid, or myeloma.
  • You need a CT scan of the cancer-affected area done as part of your usual care within 30 days before or 20 days after joining.
  • The target area must be in the upper thigh bone (near the hip, upper 1/3) and/or the spine, and the lesion is either diffuse permeative or larger than 15 mm.
  • The bone area must NOT have had targeted treatment there (no radiation, surgery, or procedures like cement/ablation) and it must not already be fractured. If it’s the thigh bone target, you cannot have a hip replacement on either side.
