Who can take part
- You must have a first episode of nephrotic syndrome (sudden kidney damage causing high protein in urine and low protein in blood).
- For children: aged 1 to 18 years, weighing more than 10 kg. For adults: confirmed by a kidney biopsy showing minimal change disease or FSGS.
- You cannot have taken steroids or other immune-suppressing drugs before this episode.
- You must not have certain other causes for your kidney condition (like lupus, HIV, hepatitis, or certain medications).
- You must be covered by French national health insurance.
