Who can take part
- You’re being evaluated for a new kidney protein-loss condition (nephrotic syndrome) such as FSGS, MCD, or MN
- If you’re in the biopsy group: you have high protein in the urine and a kidney biopsy is already planned
- If you’re in the non-biopsy child group: you are under 19 and started immune-suppressing medicine within the last 30 days
- Your urine and/or blood tests suggest nephrotic syndrome (for example: high urine protein plus swelling, low blood albumin, or a high urine protein/creatinine level)
- You have not had a prior organ transplant and do not have certain other known kidney diseases
- You can agree to the study and attend required visits (no custody/institutional situations)
