Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and can understand the study and sign consent
- Your colon cancer is in the right-side area (ascending colon, right flexure, or the first two-thirds of the transverse colon) seen on colonoscopy and CT
- Your scans suggest the cancer is stage I to III before surgery
- Your surgery is planned (elective), not an emergency situation
- You have not had major open abdominal surgery before
- Your risk factors fit the study limits (no signs of very advanced tumor on CT, and BMI is 35 or less)
