Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have a condition that needs surgery in urology, general surgery, gynecology, or thoracic surgery, such as kidney removal, stomach or colon cancer surgery, hysterectomy, or lung lobe removal.
  • You agree to join the study and sign a consent form.
  • You are willing to come back for follow-up visits and tests.
  • You do not need emergency surgery, have no other current cancer, and no cancer spread to distant organs.
  • You do not have bleeding problems or take blood thinners that cannot be stopped before surgery.
