- You have MDS that is “very low,” “low,” or “intermediate” risk by IPSS-R
- You are not on cancer-fighting treatment, or you receive only supportive care
- Supportive care can include erythropoietin (a medicine to help with anemia)
- You do NOT have the specific diagnosis “MDS with isolated del(5q)”
- You are not taking disease-modifying therapies such as hypomethylating agents
