Who can take part
- You must be an adult (age 18 or older).
- You must have myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or be suspected of having it, OR have a new (not yet treated) acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
- You cannot have related bone marrow disorders like chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML).
- You must not have received any previous chemotherapy, including hydroxyurea or azacitidine, for MDS or AML.
