Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have confirmed active tuberculosis (a positive microscope test and/or PCR test)
  • Also have latent tuberculosis infection proven by a positive IGRA blood test
  • Be willing to sign consent and return for follow-up visits for at least 6 months
  • Have not started tuberculosis medicine more than 7 days ago
