This study looks at how losing teeth and wearing dentures affects your mouth sensations and your food choices. It compares people who are fully without teeth (and use dentures) with people who still have their natural teeth.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • If you join the tooth-loss group: you have no natural teeth and use dentures for at least 1 year
  • If you join the tooth-loss group: your dentures are worn during meals and fit well
  • You must be willing to consent to participate
  • You should not have had dental, gum (periodontal), or gum pain problems in the last month
