Who can take part

  • You have confirmed stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma) based on a pathology test (biopsy/surgery sample).
  • Your cancer stage is between T1 and T4 (tumor has grown into certain layers/areas, but not the most advanced spread described here).
  • Your daily functioning is good—your doctor rates you as 0 or 1, meaning you’re able to do most activities.
  • Your blood and organ tests are “adequate,” meaning your heart, liver, kidneys, and blood counts can handle treatment.
  • Your cancer has not spread to distant organs (no distant metastasis).
  • Your tumor is not very large and does not have certain high-risk growth patterns, and it has not invaded the esophagus more than 3 cm.
