Who can take part
- Be between 18 and 75 years old
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of stomach adenocarcinoma (a type of stomach cancer) before surgery
- Have a pre-surgery stage of T1N1 or T2N0 based on scans and scope exams
- Plan to have laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (minimally invasive surgery removing the lower part of the stomach) and aim for an R0 (clean-margin) removal
- Be well enough for surgery: no severe heart, liver, lung, or kidney problems, ECOG 0–1, and ASA 1–2
