- You are 18 years or older
- Your ultrasound before delivery showed placenta previa (placenta edge close to the cervix)
- You will have a C-section before or during labor, at 32 weeks or later
- You have no certain past blood clot or serious heart/brain blood vessel problems
- You have no major bleeding or bleeding/clotting disorders, and no placenta accreta suspicion
