Who can take part

  • You are having a planned or emergency C-section.
  • You have an autoimmune disease like lupus, antiphospholipid syndrome, scleroderma, Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, or undifferentiated connective tissue disease.
  • You are not allergic to tranexamic acid.
  • You do not have a history of blood clots or bleeding problems.
  • Your kidneys are working well (no severe kidney failure).
