Who can take part

  • Your child is male and has undescended testicles (cryptorchidism) from newborn age up to age 18 at the time of surgery
  • You are a parent of the child who will be involved in the study
  • Your child has an endocrine (hormone) condition related to the case being studied
  • Your child also has a related genital or urinary issue (for example, hypospadias, very small penis, or kidney/bladder abnormalities)
  • The case is not testicular ectopia (a different pattern of where the testicle is located)
  • Your child does not have certain other conditions like absent testicles, shrinking/vanishing testicles, major abdominal wall birth defects, or a wider genetic syndrome with nervous system involvement
