Testing a specific surgery for an undescended testicle

Unilateral Cryptorchidism

Who can take part

  • Your child is a boy between 4 months and 36 months old
  • Your child is having a camera procedure (diagnostic laparoscopy) for a testicle that can’t be felt in the groin
  • The camera procedure finds the testicle is located in the abdomen on one side (unilateral abdominal undescended testis)
  • The case is one where Fowler-Stephens orchiopexy is considered appropriate
  • It is NOT both sides, and your child does not have only one testicle
