Who can take part

  • Live in Olmsted County at the time the study is checking
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Do not have a known prior diagnosis of fatty liver disease
  • Avoid drinking alcohol above set weekly limits before enrollment
  • Not be pregnant at the time of the study screening
  • Be able to safely have an MRI scan (no incompatible implants; able to tolerate the scan)
