Sensory touch therapy to help parents bond with very preterm babies

This study tests whether a gentle sensory “stimulation” approach can improve how parents and very preterm babies interact and support the baby’s social development. If you qualify, you and your baby would be asked to take part so researchers can see whether this early intervention helps bonding and social skills.

Who can take part

  • Your baby was born very preterm (before 32 weeks of pregnancy).
  • Your baby’s gestational age at birth was not extremely early (not before 25 weeks).
  • Your baby’s birth weight was at least 600 grams.
  • Your baby does not have a congenital (present at birth) malformation.
  • You (the parent/guardian) agree to participate in the study.
