  • You are pregnant and under 16 weeks along
  • You are between 21 and 39 years old
  • Your pre-pregnancy body size (BMI) was between 28 and 39
  • You do not have diabetes or prediabetes before pregnancy
  • You have not had gestational diabetes before
  • You do not currently smoke, use illegal drugs, or take long-term steroids
