Who can take part
- You are having a scheduled or not-urgent cesarean birth (C-section)
- You can speak and read English enough to participate and consent
- You do not have a history of long-term (chronic) pain or long-term opioid (strong painkiller) use
- In the 6 months before delivery, you did not take opioids for more than 1 week
- You have not used the TENS unit before, and you did not get a midline vertical skin incision
- You will receive the study’s spinal (intrathecal) opioid pain medicine during the C-section
