Who can take part
- You have confirmed invasive breast cancer found on biopsy (not just non-invasive disease).
- Your tumor is “triple negative”: hormone receptors are very low and HER2 is not amplified.
- Your cancer stage is not spread to distant organs (it’s at stages T1–T4, N0–N3, M0).
- You already had at least 4 cycles of chemotherapy before surgery that included both platinum and taxanes, and the cancer did not grow during that time.
- After neoadjuvant chemo, surgery removed the breast tumor and lymph nodes, but you still have leftover invasive cancer (at least 1 cm in the breast and/or positive underarm lymph nodes).
- Your health is strong enough for chemo: you can do daily activities well (ECOG 0–1) and your heart/lungs/liver/kidneys and blood counts are adequate, and surgery to study randomization is within 6 weeks.
