Myofascial Trigger Point Pain (MTrP)

This trial tests whether high-intensity laser therapy applied to specific “trigger points” in the neck muscles can help people with painful tight spots. You may be eligible if you have those trigger points and meet safety rules about recent neck/shoulder problems and skin and nerve conditions.

Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Be a staff member or student at the Andrés Bello University Casona Las Condes Campus
  • Have confirmed “myofascial trigger points” in the upper trapezius area of your neck
  • Haven’t had a neck or shoulder injury/problem in the last 3 months (like fractures, sprains, tendon problems, dislocation, or muscle tear)
  • No neck/shoulder skin issues where the laser would be used (no open wounds, scars/burns, psoriasis, or similar skin changes)
