Imaging medicine to help find lung cancer during surgery

Who can take part

  • You have stage I or stage II non-small cell lung cancer that can be removed by surgery
  • You are 18 to 80 years old and can sign informed consent
  • You are healthy enough for lung surgery based on the surgeon’s assessment
  • You have not had cancer before, and you have not had chemotherapy or other treatment before surgery
  • Your blood counts are high enough (hemoglobin, white blood cells, and platelets) and your kidney function is acceptable
  • You should not have serious recent heart/stroke issues or unstable breathing conditions like lung scarring (pulmonary fibrosis)
