Who can take part
- You are a woman, age 18 or older
- You were newly diagnosed with heart muscle weakness (cardiomyopathy) and it’s not from a recent hospital stay for heart failure
- Your heart pumping strength (EF) is 35% or lower at the time you get the WCD
- You were prescribed the wearable defibrillator for about 90 days (about 76–104 days)
- You’ve worn the WCD for no more than 14 days so far
- You can’t have certain heart rhythm/implant situations (like permanent atrial fibrillation, a pacemaker, or a prior implanted defibrillator)
