This study looks at how a child’s sleep looks on a sleep-monitoring test and how that relates to brain/learning growth over time. It includes some children without known risks and some children with known developmental or learning risks, to better understand sleep’s role.

Who can take part
- A parent or legal guardian can sign consent for your child
- Your child is between 6 months and 76 months old at enrollment
- Your child must pass the sleep screening: low breathing-event score (AHI) at or below 2 per hour
- Your child should not have breathing or sleep problems found on screening, like obstructed breathing events
- Your child can’t have major medical issues that would prevent doing an overnight sleep study (for example, needing a ventilator, severe uncontrolled seizures)
- The home primary language must be English
