Who can take part

  • Be at least 18 years old and able to sign consent forms
  • If you’re female, you must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must use reliable birth control
  • Be able to read and speak English and follow study instructions
  • Have no current or recent ongoing pain (no “pathological” or chronic pain problems)
  • Be able to complete MRI scanning without problems (for example, not severe claustrophobia)
  • Have no metal or metal fragments in your body (or history of metal work that could leave bits behind)
