Who can take part
- No history of depression, bipolar disorder, or other psychiatric conditions
- No seizures in the past 10 years or other major brain conditions
- No chronic pain or acute pain in the last three months
- No migraines (15 or more headache days per month)
- No medications for brain or nerve conditions
- No substance abuse in the last six months
- No metal implants or conditions that prevent MRI or brain stimulation
- No heart disease, high blood pressure, severe asthma, diabetes, or other pain-related conditions
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently
- Must be able to tolerate a hot sensation (like a hot cup of coffee) on the skin
