Who can take part

  • You’re age 19 or 70 (the study uses a wide age range, but you must be within it).
  • You have alcoholic cirrhosis that has been confirmed, and your liver severity is Child-Pugh B or C (score 7 or higher).
  • Your doctors estimate you can live more than 1 year.
  • You’re able to have a catheter placed in your liver artery for treatment.
  • If you can become pregnant, your pregnancy test must be negative and you must use approved birth control during the study.
  • You can follow the study plan and agree in writing to join.
