Healthy pregnant women study eye changes early in pregnancy

This study looks at how the back part of the eye may change during pregnancy, especially in the first 3 months. You may be asked for eye imaging to measure these normal pregnancy-related changes.

Who can take part

  • You are pregnant and otherwise healthy (not a high-risk pregnancy).
  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You are under 12 weeks pregnant when you join.
  • You can sign a consent form to take part in the study.
  • You can have clear eye images taken through an undilated pupil (no dilating drops), if needed.
  • You do not have certain eye problems or prior eye procedures, like past eye surgeries or laser treatments.
