Who can take part
- You had stage I to III triple-negative breast cancer when diagnosed, with ER and PR less than 10%
- Your cancer was still there after at least 4 cycles of chemo before surgery (neoadjuvant chemo)
- You are 18 or older, and your day-to-day functioning is fairly good (ECOG 0 to 2)
- Your scans/tests show no spread to distant organs (no metastatic disease)
- You’re planning 6 months or 8 cycles of capecitabine as post-surgery treatment
- You can take pills by mouth and all major side effects from prior treatment are mostly gone (back to grade 0–1, except hair loss and certain nerve issues)
