Who can take part

  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Have stayed on a beta-blocker for at least 1 year after your heart attack
  • Be able to understand the study and agree in writing (you or a legal representative)
  • Have heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) after the heart attack showing an ejection fraction of 40% or higher
  • Have no history of heart failure and no conditions that prevent beta-blocker use
