Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 to 70
  • You have a breast tumor confirmed as cancer that is “triple-negative” on a special lab test (IHC)
  • Your tumor is large enough for a needle biopsy (at least 2 cm) and is reachable by ultrasound or exam
  • You have not had chemotherapy for this breast cancer, and you are in stage IIA to IIIC
  • You can do the study activities and are generally well (ECOG 0 to 1)
  • Your key blood, liver, and kidney tests are in acceptable ranges, and your heart ultrasound shows normal pumping (left ejection fraction ≥55%)
