Who can take part
- You are a man age 18 or older.
- You have high-risk prostate cancer that has not spread outside the prostate (localized).
- You have not had any prior treatment for prostate cancer, except possibly up to 12 weeks of hormone therapy.
- You have a prostate tissue sample available from a recent biopsy for genetic testing.
- You are in good overall health (ECOG 0 or 1) and expected to live at least 3 more years.
- You do not have serious heart, liver, or other medical conditions that would make surgery unsafe.
