Who can take part

  • You have a cataract in one eye or both eyes and need cataract surgery
  • Your cataract affects lens clarity, lens cloudiness, or lens position
  • You have no other serious health conditions or medicines that could affect vision
  • You do not have diabetes with eye damage (diabetic retinopathy) and your blood sugar is not poorly controlled
  • You do not have major eye problems such as recent eye trauma or recent eye surgery, severe dry eye, eye surface disease, strabismus (eye misalignment), or amblyopia (lazy eye)
