Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have esophageal cancer.
  • Your doctor plans you for radiation plus chemotherapy (either before or as the main treatment).
  • Your general health/activity is fairly good (ECOG score 0 to 2).
  • You can complete the study’s treatment plan and sign informed consent.
  • You can safely have an MRI (not too claustrophobic, and no non–MRI-safe metal or devices).
  • You can safely receive the study imaging materials (no prior severe allergic reaction to the contrast or imaging medicines).
