Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus that has spread to up to 5 spots in up to 3 organs.
- At least one of those spots can be treated with a precise type of radiation called stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
- Your general health (measured by a performance status score of 0, 1, or 2) is reasonably good.
- Your blood counts and liver/kidney function are within certain healthy ranges (your doctor can check this).
- You have not already received standard chemotherapy and anti-PD1 therapy that caused your cancer to progress without any options for SBRT.
