Who can take part

  • You have a Zone 3 fracture of the fifth metatarsal (the outer part of the foot).
  • You do not have nerve problems (neuropathy).
  • Your fracture is closed (not open) and not from a high-energy injury.
  • Your injury does not include other significant injuries that could affect healing or rehab, in either leg/foot.
  • You can complete follow-up visits at one of the study centers and are willing/able to give consent.
