Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with SCAD using a heart artery scan (angiography).
  • You were admitted to the hospital because of an acute coronary syndrome or other signs of reduced blood flow to the heart.
  • You can give informed consent to join the study.
  • You do NOT have cardiogenic shock or very unstable heart function right now.
  • You do NOT have another severe heart problem that needs surgery within the next 2 years.
  • You are not expected to have less than 2 years to live due to another serious medical condition.
