Who can take part
- You are age 21 or older
- You have confirmed COVID-19 pneumonia (test confirmed COVID, and chest imaging shows pneumonia)
- Your oxygen level is low (SpO2 under 93%) or you need oxygen
- If you have alcohol-related liver disease, your liver function scores must fall in a specific range (Child-Pugh 5–8, MELD under 25, and kidney function not too high)
- You must not need a breathing machine (ventilator) right now
- You can’t be pregnant, and you must be able to sign consent
