Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You need a temporary dialysis catheter expected to be used for at least 7 days.
  • You can give informed consent to join the study.
  • You do not already have a pacemaker lead or a PICC line using the right-sided central veins.
  • You do not have known right-sided vein narrowing from previous issues, like “known right-sided CVS.”
  • You have no right-side right arm fistula and no right-sided internal jugular or right subclavian catheter already in place.
