Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- Your doctor says you can safely get a low-dose CT scan of your heart at the start of the study.
- You have not had heart stents or heart bypass surgery.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are not planning pregnancy.
- You do not have major exclusions like severe lung, severe liver problems, significant kidney problems, certain cancers, or known problems that strongly affect calcium levels.
